Deadlines For Voter Registration Are As Soon!
This Weekend I again participated in helping get former felons started on the process of getting their voting rights restored, as well as registering regular first time or "not in a long time" voters.
I know that at least in 6 different states (Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and Virginia, and these may not be the only states) that the deadline to register to be able to vote in November; is on October the 6th.
If you're not registered before election day, you can't vote!
Also, if you've voted previously and but have not voted in the last 2 federal elections, you may be purged from the voter roles.
<strong>It behooves everyone to check their voter registration status.</strong>
In Tennessee, you can check it by putting in four points of data at this website, and look to see if it says you're "active".
